I watched the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast Surf Contest Live at Snapper Rock. The waves were relatively mediocre but the surfing was phenomenal. Kelly Slater and Mick Fanning exchanged high scores with Slater prevailing in the end. Slater is still the guy to beat. Hope he stays on tour and goes for World Title #9. Kelly is the man and it will be a sad day for the ASP when he retires. Kelly and Laird are the only two names that the main stream media know. They will probably have to pay him to show up like Tiger Woods.
