Peniche Portugal Announced as Location for 2009 Rip Curl Pro Search Event

Tuesday, June 23, 2009: Rip Curl International has today officially announced that the coastal town of Peniche, Portugal, will host this year’s Rip Curl Pro Search, Stop No. 9 of 10 on the 2009 ASP World Tour - to be held October 19 to 30.

Jeffrey’s Bay – The first possible swell for the running of the Xcel Supertubes Showdown is just around the corner. Event organisers have been monitoring the swell and weather charts, and Thursday 18 June is showing good promise for some epic waves at Supertubes.
